Who doesn’t look forward to the weekends?  After a long work week that seems to creep by as slowly as possible, most people are antsy to get out and DO SOMETHING! But oftentimes, people cannot think of what to do. How often are you indecisive about where to spend your Friday night? For me, it happens more often than I’d like. After so many outings to the same restaurant, movie theatre or local tavern, Friday nights can become lackluster.

Now you can skip all the contemplating about where to spend your Friday nightMartinis & IMAX® is the perfect outing for any occasion, complete with dinner, drinks, live music and an IMAX® film. Experience it all without having to drive to multiple locations! Feel relaxed, shake off the hectic work week, engage in light-hearted conversation with friends, family or that special someone, and let our live music help you unwind.

On Friday, Jan. 29, jazz vocalist Rai Ragland and her trio rocked the house (or the museum, shall we say?). Switching between blues notes, high tempo swing and some Latin-influenced compositions, we were eager to hear the next song. Yes, eagerness and relaxation can occur simultaneously, but only on Friday nights at Fernbank.

Accompanied by my mother, we spent the evening conversing over soothing tunes and a delectable choice of wine at a quaint, candle-lit table, and later made our way to the gigantic screen of the IMAX® theatre. Did you know that you can see two films for the price of one? For a limited time only, see Van Gogh: Brush with Genius and The Old Man at Sea – a special double feature available exclusively during Martinis & IMAX®.

At the conclusion of our night, it immediately dawned on us that Martinis & IMAX® is the ultimate Friday night experience. There are very few places in Atlanta where you can enjoy dinner, a movie (or two!), live music and your favorite martini. We have already planned several trips in the near future. After one visit, you WILL be back for another entertaining night amongst the dinosaurs 😛
